• Must be ≥3°C above dew point

Performance

Substrate Preparation

• Surface must be:

  • Clean

  • Dry

  • Strong

  • Free from oil, grease, dust

Primer / Treatment

Non-porous substrates:

• Aluminium, steel, tiles → Aktivator-205

• Copper / brass → Aktivator-205 + Primer-3 N

• PVC → Primer-215

Porous substrates:

• Concrete, mortar → Primer-3 N

Application Method

Bonding

• Apply in beads / spots

• Press components into position

• Adjust within first minutes

• Use temporary support if needed

• Full curing: 24–48 hours

Sealing

• Insert backing rod

• Apply sealant evenly

• Ensure full contact with joint sides

• Tool immediately

• Use Sika Tooling Agent N

Important Notes

• Can be overpainted (test compatibility first)

• Best results after full curing

• Non-flexible paint may crack

• Colour change possible (aesthetic only)

Limitations

Do NOT use:

• On bitumen, rubber, EPDM

• On PE, PP, PTFE plastics

• For structural bonding

• For underwater / immersion

• In swimming pools

• For glass sealing (UV exposure)

• For trafficked floor joints

• With alcohol during curing
