General Requirements
Surface must be:
Clean
Dry
Sound
Non-Porous Substrates
Metals, plastics, coated surfaces, glazed tiles
→ Clean and pre-treat with Sika® Aktivator-205
→ Waiting time: >15 minutes (max 6 hours)
Porous Substrates
Concrete, mortar, brick, plaster
→ Apply bituminous primer (e.g. SikaProof® Membrane)
→ Waiting time: >1 hour
Application Method
Cut tape to required length
Remove release film
Apply tape firmly to substrate
Press using roller for strong bonding
Overlap joints ≥5 cm
Tip
Heating the tape during application improves adhesion
Cleaning
Clean tools with Sika® Remover-208
Important Notes / Limitations
Can be painted with most conventional paint systems
Do NOT use on natural stone
Avoid direct contact with sealants or adhesives unless compatibility is tested
