Description
Sika Waterbar® V VN is a flexible PVC waterbar manufactured from thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is designed to prevent water migration through construction joints and movement joints in concrete structures.
The multi-rib profile forms an effective waterproof barrier once concrete has hardened, ensuring long-term sealing performance in water-retaining and underground structures. The waterbar can be easily welded on site using a welding knife, allowing secure joint continuity during installation.

Application Method
Fixing to Formwork
Install centrally within split formwork or shuttering.
Suitable for construction and movement joints with expected movement.
Fixing to Reinforcement
Pre-punched eyelets allow easy fixing to reinforcement using tie wire.
Ensures waterbar remains correctly positioned during concreting.
Concrete Placement
Both sides must be fully embedded in concrete.
Carefully vibrate concrete to avoid honeycombing.
Maintain equal concrete pressure on both sides to prevent displacement.
