Sika® RainTite is a modified acrylic waterproofing coating, cold-applied and thixotropic, designed to form a seamless, flexible, and UV-resistant waterproof membrane. It is ideal for roof finishing and decorative waterproofing applications.

Thickness

• Without membrane: ~0.3 – 0.45 mm

Application Conditions

• Temperature: < 35°C

• Drying Time: ~2–3 hours

Substrate Preparation

• Surface must be:

  • Clean

  • Sound

  • Properly cured

• Remove:

  • Dust

  • Loose particles

  • Rust (for metal surfaces)

Application Method

Without Membrane

• Apply primer (if substrate porous)

• Apply 2 coats (~0.3 kg/m² each)

With Membrane

• Apply primer

• Apply first coat (0.8–1.0 kg/m²)

• Embed membrane (overlap ≥50 mm)

• Apply second coat while wet

• Apply final top coat after drying

Important Limitations

Do NOT use:

• Under screed or tile system

• On flat roofs with ponding water

• When rain is expected

• In temperatures above 35°C

Important Notes

• Minimum roof slope: 3% (with membrane)

• Protect from rain during curing
